Stage 1 Riebeek loop – never mind a warm up, start climbing immediately. Then some relief, and right at the end there is some uphill to the finish line.
Stage 2 to Slanghoek – a very easy start, Bainskloof Pass right in the middle and then a beautiful road to the finish line.
Stage 3 to Montagu – an unassuming climb to the highest point, an easy climb before Robertson and then 2 fangs before the end.
Stage 4 to Ceres – our signature stage – a long double climb for the first 50kms, some fast and flat sections in the middle, then 2 more climbs, followed by a 30km descent to the finish line – sometimes straight into an en bloc headwind, sorry.
Stage 5 to Riebeek – the rolling hills just doesn’t stop. There are no serious climbs, but we’ll be going up and down to the finish line.
Stage 6 to Stellenbosch – a very nice ride to the end. We climb early and get the worst out of the way. And the last few kilometres are bliss – it’s always nice to finish fast, – with a little whip in the tail
